The second semi final of the Croatian national competition for the Eurovision 2024 representative was held tonight in Zagreb.
The show started off with a recap of the last night’s semi final 1 finalists, their impressions and messages of love. Anja Cerar joined Duško Ćurlić as our host tonight, and as they reminded us of the voting sequence and its details, the show was set to begin!
- Our first act for the evening was Lu Dedić, singing “Plavi leptir”. The grandiose backdrop with a melancholic melody softened even the harshest of hearts!
- We continued on with James Night’s memorable performance, as the retro beat in “Nebo plače” included a choreography with some stready vocals.
- Lara Demarin brought some pop perfection with “Ne vjerujem ti” and an interesting square prop behind her, with the dancers complimenting the stage. The rapping part of the song was a special treat!
- Alen Đuras took no prisoners with an anthemic “A Tamburitza Lullaby”, highlighting the beautiful intstrument in the chorus and making us dance along.
- The Splitters reminded us of all the best parts of love with “Od kad te sanjam”. Lighters up in the air, and sway along!
- Boris Štok graced the Dora stage with “Can We Talk”, delivering a gravelly vocal performance that kept us glued to the screen!
- Baby Lasagna made sure that “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” partied up the stage. The energy sizzled and erupted, there was fire, visuals, jumping and dancing, a frenzied vibe altogether!
- ET followed up with an EDM track “Pametnom dosta”, continuing on with the high energy on stage and good vibes!
- Vatra graced the stage with “Slatke suze, gorka ljubav”, a gentle poppy entry that slowly built into an exciting beat towards the end.
- We finally got a bit of a breather with the former champion of Dora, Damir Kedžo and his “Voljena ženo”. This beautiful ballad was acommpanied by strong vocals and a stormy, cloudy backdrop.
- Natalie Balmix was the penultimate act of the evening with “Dijamanti”, donned in a gorgeous diamond style dress and delicate vocals!
- And finally, closing out the evening was Marcela with her “Gasoline”, the fiery track paired with a red and black staging, and matching choreography!
